P2PTab keeps a running tab on what USDT actually costs in local money. Every ten minutes it checks the public Binance P2P ads for Pakistan, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Sri Lanka, India, Oman, Zambia and The Gambia, plus the Chinese yuan (CNY) ads in the Chinese section, and shows one honest number per side: the best price from advertisers with a real trading record.
Why this exists
The price you see first on a P2P screen is often not the price you should trust. When we first looked through these ads, the highest offers to buy USDT in several countries came from accounts with almost no completed orders, bidding well above everyone else. Those are exactly the offers that lead people into scams. So the prices here only count advertisers with at least 30 completed orders and a 95% completion rate in the last 30 days, and the pages say how many offers were left out.
The same idea runs through the rest of the site: the guides explain how to buy with each local payment method without getting burned, and the tax tools help you keep clean records once you've traded.
What we don't do
- We don't run a P2P desk, take orders or hold anyone's money. The numbers describe public ads; trades happen on the exchange.
- We don't upload your files. The CSV converter and cost basis calculator run in your browser. The privacy page explains how to check that.
- We don't guess. If a market has too few reliable ads, or a file has a row we can't read, the page says so.
Where the numbers come from
P2P prices come from public Binance P2P ads. US dollar rates come from ExchangeRate-API and are updated once a day. How the figures are calculated is set out on each rate page and in our methodology.
Who writes the guides
The guides are written by the P2PTab editors. Each one shows when it was last updated, and every screenshot caption gives the date it was taken. See the editorial policy for how we write and correct them.
